Flumet
In the heart of the Haute Savoie and Savoie you’ll find the Arly Valley with Flumet, an authentic viilage. Flumet is situated nearby the wintersport and summersport villages St Nicolas la Chapelle, Praz sur Arly (5 min), Megève (10 min) en Notre Dame de Bellecombe (5 min) with all the joy, offered by the mountains.
The (Haute) Savoie is the most Northern part of the French Alps. The capital, Chamonix, lies at the foot of its highest mountain, the Mont Blanc.

Flumet has a bakery, a butcher, a supermarket and there a sport shops and some little restaurants. In the near surroundings many shops (some of high standard) en restaurants (of very high quality) can be fount.
The Arly Valley has an excellent micro-climate: no fog and exceptional snow cover, in both quantity and quality, and maximum sunshine. A network of snow machines gives extra snow cover.
Flumet is a gateway to an extensive skiing area with 185 km of slopes. A network of chairlifts and draglifts whisks you from 1000 metres to 2070 metres above sea level and gives access to the Espace Diamant area (www.espacediamant.com), which includes the village-resorts of Crest-Voland, Cohennoz, Flumet, Notre Dame de Bellecombe, Praz sur Arly and Les Saisies. It provides exceptional scenery for skiers of all levels.
There is 2.5 km of free cross-country ski trails around the lake at Flumet (almost 1000 m.) and much more in the area.
The ski school (ESF) offers group and private classes throughout the season.
There are sledging slopes at Les Evettes and Les Seigneurs and snowshoe trails from Les Evettes to Flumet and as far as Praz sur Arly. There are also guided snowshoe outings.
Besides magnificent nature for all mountain sports, water sports and other sports, one can find cities (Annecy, Genève, Chamonix…..) and villages with culture and shopping nearby (for more information, see Summer and Winter). In the summer thetre are several music festivals nearby.
